TV2 Chooses Escenic Community Engine
The Norwegian broadcaster TV2 has chosen Escenic Community Engine as their platform for current and future community initiatives. TV2 is the largest commercial broadcasting organization in Norway, rivaled only by the state owned public broadcaster NRK. TV2 is an exciting client for Escenic as their forward thinking attitudes come with a cohesive online strategy and many challenging initiatives. The move signals a strengthening of the TV2 - Escenic relationship. TV2 plans to start by using the Escenic Community Engine to establish blogs and forum functionality supporting their channels and programs.
Heads of agreement signed by Vizrt and Escenic
Vizrt Ltd. has signed Heads of Agreement to purchase Escenic AS. 65% of the shareholders in Escenic have signed the agreement, and the remaining shareholders will receive the same offer.

Product Focus
Escenic Content Engine 4.3-3
Escenic Content Engine 4-3.3 contains some major enhancements and a long list of improvements and bug-fixes. Major changes include a new article list implementation, support for thousands of sections, deploy configuration in the EAR, updated third-party libraries and improvements to the XML import and export.

Escenic Community Engine 2.6.2
This release of Escenic Community Engine is designed for big communities. It takes advantage of the increased performance of Escenic Content Engine 4.3-3, and offers a number of performance and feature enhancements.

Escenic Simple Publishing
Simple Publishing is a simplified web-based GUI for content publishing. Using
this module, any Escenic user may add, edit and delete content anywhere on
the website directly in the browser, based on the user's rights and
privileges.

Partner Focus - Escenic teams up with Mobiletech to address growing demands
Combining Escenic Content Engine with the Dextella Frame solution from Mobiletech eliminates the problems associated with device types, content adaption and rendering, while preserving access to all services made available by mobile operator. This leaves customers to focus on value creation through service development. Enriched with Dextella capabilities Escenic makes it easy for content owners to begin a rich and long term dialog with their customers using their mobile.

ACAP and Escenic Content Engine
ACAP (Automated Content Access Protocol) is a proposed method of providing machine-readable permissions information for content, or electronic online DRM. As there has been some debate regarding ACAP, Escenic would like to state that Escenic Content Engine supports ACAP for customers wanting to implement it.

Escenic Cert. Programme
Escenic Education is working towards an Individual and Partner certification scheme. Individual certifications will include: “Escenic Certified Developer”, “Escenic Certified System Administrator” and “Escenic Certified Instructor”. Escenic Partners will also be certified and expected to have at least a set number of certified staff to achieve each of the partner levels.
