Hallingdølen and Escenic sign license and consulting agreement
Oslo, February 12, 2008: The Norwegian newspaper, Hallingdølen has signed a license and consulting agreement with Escenic.
Established in 1936, Hallingdølen is a regional newspaper with ambitions. They aim to be the best regional site in the heart of Norway. The implementation project is well under way. Hallingdølen will work closely together with Escenic to develop a new template blueprint suited for small and medium sized Escenic customers.
“Our first online site was launched in 2001, but now we need more user activity and modern functionality on the site. We have ambitious plans and together with Escenic’s innovative platform we aim to become the best online local newspaper site in Norway,” said Kjell Vidar Bergo, CEO Hallingdølen.

Hallingdølen was established in 1936 by Jon Fatnes from the south of Norway. Ten years later the newspaper was bought by ten local individuals whose descendants still own the newspaper today. Hallingdølen’s reprint is over 10,000 copies with 3 editions being distributed weekly.
