Pimp your site – how journalists can spice up their stories by adding branded graphic
Speaker: François Laborie, Executive VP, Vizrt

It is often the availability of the flash designer that defines which story will receive the benefit of a graphic or an illustration online. It does not have to be that way. As online readers expect more media and content around their stories, Escenic and Vizrt have developed a workflow that allows each Escenic user to generate high quality illustrations and graphics by simply filling in templates. The solution makes it possible to mass-produce graphics such as images, maps, videos or interactive animations. There is more to it than an increased bandwidth: since each graphic is based on a template, the resulting illustrations are actually building up the brand recognition, and driving traffic towards the content creator, not the aggregators.

How to turn online video content into a sustainable solution
Speaker: François Laborie, Executive VP

At a time where more and more news organizations decide to make the leap into online video content, the paths offered often lack a long term view. To make video content usable, it has to be integrated into the production workflow; it has to be searchable for future use and it must conciliate citizen journalism, syndicated content, and one’s own video content production. This seminar will show how our “video asset management in-a-box” solution fits into a newspaper or a broadcaster’s workflow.
