Escenic Community Engine 2.6.2 released
This release of Escenic Community Engine is designed for big communities. It takes advantage of the increased performance of Escenic Content Engine 4.3-3, and offers a number of performance and feature enhancements.
Improved performance
Escenic Community Engine now supports hundreds of thousands of users, utilizing the improved performance of Escenic Content Engine 4.3-3.
Module enhancements
All the modules have performance enhancements and other improvements, these are some of the highlights:
- Forum: Improved integration with the standard Escenic Forum module.
- Authority: Administration is now integrated into Escenic Web Studio.
- Statistics: Improved recorder management.
- Tag: Each user's tags are now easily accessible from the JSP tag library.
- User Content: Users can now decide how they want to log in: Username, phone number, nick, etc. It is now possible to set limits for each user's upload content, both per server and publication.
- Data integrity: A number of improvements to assure that even on high-traffic communities, user's actions will not result in data integrity issues.
